ZuZu’s Petals: A Lunch At Allen’s Christmas by A Lunch At Allen’s

My next holiday album on my review list is ZuZu’s Petals: A Lunch At Allen’s Christmas, an October 17, 2012 album, by A Lunch At Allen’s on the Linus Entertainment Records label.  This group is a band consisting of four Canadian artists of folk, country, and popular music consisting of Cindy Church on guitar and vocals, Marc Jordan on guitar, piano and vocals, Murry McLauchlan on guitar, piano, harmonica and vocals and Ian Thomas on guitar, mandolin and vocals.  They are also joined by Al Cross on drums and Victor Bateman on bass.  This fourth studio release is a wonderfully mellow holiday album in which the majority of songs are originals written by the band members and if you are a Christmas movie buff, you will notice that the title comes from a scene in the movie It’s A Wonderful Life where George Bailey’s daughter Zuzu flower came apart and George put some of the petals in his pocket when he pretended to fix it.   This twelve track album features such songs as Zuzu’s Petals, Spending My Christmas With You, It’s Christmas, Sober Up For Christmas, Oh What A Christmas Eve and so much more.  I was quite impressed with how well this album was written, recorded and performed.  You can get your copy of this album on CD and digital download from Amazon, Bandcamp, Itunes, and all other music outlets.
