I Need A Star In My Life by Humble Pie

Humble Pie is releasing the September 2, 2022 album  I Need A Star In My Life on the Cleopatra Records label which features studio recordings from 1974-1976 with unmistakable HP vocalist Steve Marriott along with bassist Greg Ridley and guitarist Clem Clempson.  This twenty-track album of hard chargin’ blues rock features such outstanding tracks as Shake, Send Me Some Lovin, Be My Baby, Louisiana Blues, You’re A Heartbreaker, the title track I Need A Star In My Life, Cocaine and so much more. I was in awe with the performance on this album with amazing vocals, brilliant musicianship, and great songwriting work as well as the superb job of recording and production.  I have been a big fan of Humble Pie since I was younger and still enjoy their music.  This is an album that I highly recommend you add to your library which is available on Vinyl (which I hope to get a copy of), CD, and digital download from Amazon, Cleopatra Records, Bandcamp, and many other music retailers.

Fire Rider by Winter

Fire Rider is the upcoming Dark Rock album by Winter on the Wintergothic Records label featuring Markus Winter (German author, musician, scriptwriter, singer, and composer) on lead, backing and harmony vocals, bass, lead and rhythm guitars, violin, keyboards and synthesizer, Hugo Ribeiro on drums, Michael Donner on keyboards and synthesizer and Nera Namic on harmony and backing vocals.  This is my second review of this spectacular artist.  After hearing his last album Looking Back, I was excited to hear the growth of this artist as a performer and songwriter and I was not disappointed at all. I enjoyed this sixteen-track album from start to finish with heavy guitar riffs, thumping bass lines, driving drum beats, and brilliant vocals on such tracks as Unholy Blood, the title track Fire Rider, Lost In The Ice, You’ve Been On My Mind, When All Is Said And Done and so much more.  The guitar riffs on some of these tracks reminded me a lot of the early Billy Idol days while others sounded like the days of classic rock with some great ballads thrown in.  I was quite moved by the performance on this amazing album as well brilliant songwriting and superb recording and production done by Markus Winter himself. I am looking forward to hearing a lot of his earlier work so I can see his growth of him as an artist and songwriter.  I can definitely say, you need to add this album to your rock library which will available in October on CD and vinyl from https://www.winterzeitstudios.de/, Spotify, and many other music retailers.

Ain’t Nobody Worried: Celebrating Great Women Of Song by Rory Block

REVOLUSHN is an experimental psych-rock group from California formed by longtime friends and collaborators NO Mansfield and David “Dekay” Kendrick is to release their latest album 3, set for release September 30, 2022!  The lineup for this album features NO Mansfield (guitar/vocals), David “Dekay” Kendrick (drums, percussion), Olga Schubert (keys), and Neil Nyberg (bass guitar/vocals) on this 10 track album of all original material and also features Scott Page (Pink Floyd, Toto, Supertramp) on sax and Harlan Spector (Redbone, Buffalo Springfield) on keys on the track “Electric” as well as Kim Aston on backing vocals.  I enjoyed this album from start to finish with great tracks like The Beast Inside, My Living Brain, Little Red Dolls, Pushing and so much more.    This release showcases a fantastic performance with brilliant musicianship and awesome vocals, a great job with their songwriting talent, and a superb recording and production by NO Mansfield and Arron Connor (Bone Thugs and Harmony, Cher, Ed Sheeran, Dr. Dre).  This is definitely an album you need to check out and then add to your library at the end of the month from all major music retailers.  For more information about REVOLUSHN and tour dates please visit: www.revolushn.com

So Schon by Hemesath

For my 4040th review, I will take you across the ocean to Germany for the upcoming album by Hemesath called So Schon, scheduled for release on October 7, 2022, on the Echozone Records label.  This five-piece hard German rock band comprises of Christopher Zumbalt on vocals, Andre Rasfeld and Victor Wagner on guitars, Frank Schoppengerd on drums, and Peter Bernhardt on bass.  This nine track album of original work features such great songs as Heile Segen, Dies Eine Leben, Flieg, Bleib bei mir, and so much more.  This amazing album demonstrates that rock music with German lyrics can be exciting, energetic and emotional and in the end it’s just fun.  I was quite moved by the performance on this album with powerful vocals and driving musicianship, as well as brilliant songwriting talent and a superb job of recording.  This is an album that you will want to enjoy and listen to over and over again. Anthology by Snakecharmer

Anthology is the upcoming October 28, 2022 collection by British hard rock supergroup Snakecharmer was formed in 2013 by former members of Whitesnake, Wishbone Ash, and Thunder with a resulting line-up that is a veritable who’s-who of classic hard rock including vocalist Chris Ousey (Heartland), guitarist Laurie Wisefield (Wishbone Ash), drummer Harry James (Thunder), and keyboardist Adam Wakeman (Ozzy Osbourne) and guitarist Micky Moody (Whitesnake) who was replaced by young Irish-born virtuoso Simon McBride in 2017. This 4-CD box set collects the band’s two studio albums as well as two live shows from Milton Keynes which show the band at work in a live environment. This 53-track compilation features the sound of classic melodic hard rock with a blues edge, which such great songs as My Angel, A Little Rock & Roll, Smoking Gun, White Boy Blues, Sounds Like A Plan, That Kind Of Love, Hell Of A Way To Live, Fade Away, On My Way and so much more.
