Dark Horizons by Illuminae

Good Morning my friends, for my 1775th review I am proud to present an amazing album Illuminae called Dark Horizons released February 12, 2021 on the Immrama and Gonzo Multimedia Records label.  Illuminae features the amazing duo of Ian Jones the founder member and composer with British symphonic rock band Karnataka who have released 5 critically acclaimed albums including award winning albums, Delicate Flame of Desire, The Gathering Light and Secrets of Angels on bass, keyboards, acoustic guitar and string arrangements, and Agnieszka Świta providing the amazing vocals. To make this amazing sound complete they acquired the exciting contributors which include Steve Hackett (Genesis) on lead guitar, John Helliwell (Supertramp) on saxophone and clarinet, Troy Donockley (Nightwish) on uilleann pipes and low whistles, Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson and Steve Hackett band) on drums, Luke Machin (Machine and The Tangent) on lead and rhythm guitars and Gonzalo Carrera on piano.  I fell in love with this ten track album from start to finish with such great tracks as The Lighthouse, Edge Of Darkness, Heretics & Prophecy, Black Angel, Sign Of Infinity, the title track Dark Horizons and so much more.  This amazing release features a brilliant performance with exciting vocals and memorable instrumentation as well as great songwriting and a superb recording.  This is an album that I would love to one day own on vinyl which is in the process of pressing.  I highly recommend that you get a copy of this album and fall in love with it like I did.  At present time this album is available on CD and digital download from Amazon, Apple Music and many other music retailers as well on their official website https://www.illuminae.net/ where you can learn more about this band, their music and when the world goes back to normal, you will find out where to see this band live.  In closing, I want to thank my new friend Ian Jones for providing me with this CD and the awesome opportunity to hear this great piece of work and write this review.
