It is not very often that I review single songs but in this case, I make an exception for my 1291st review in which Potter’s Daughter will be releasing their new single Blood and Water featuring legendary Renaissance vocalist Annie Haslam on August 8, 2019! The single will be available digitally, CD single and limited edition 7-inch vinyl. They are joining forces with long-time friend, Amit Chatterjee, (producer, arranger, and guitarist), and Ian C. Voegtlin (composer, guitarist, and saxophonist) on this great single with emotional vocal leads and harmonies, and soaring solos. This progressive rock song was well written, recorded, performed and produced and will be available on August 8th from Amazon, CD Baby, and other music outlets. Here To Make You Feel Good by Arthur Adams
For my 1290th review, I wish to present Here To Make You Feel Good, my second review and the July 19, 2019 album by session guitarist and soulful blues singer Arthur Adams from Medon, Tennessee and released on the Cleopatra Records label. Arthur’s credits as a session guitarist and live musician are simply jaw-dropping which goes all the way back to the sixties which include such artists as BB King, Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, Bonnie Raitt, Quincy Jones, The Jackson Five and so many more. On this newest release he brings a new album of soulful blues guaranteed to make you feel good with his unmistakable voice and searing guitar playing on such tracks as Sweet Pot, Tear the House Down, the title track Here To Make You Feel Good, Gonna Make Some Money and so much more. This great recording was well written, performed, recorded and produced and if you are a major blues fan such as I am, you will want to add this album to your library which can be purchased from Amazon, Bandcamp, FYE, Cleopatra Records and other outlets where CD’s and digital downloads are sold.

He also included several covers on this album such as Let It Be (by The Beatles), Junk (originally released by Paul McCartney and released on his debut studio album McCartney), and Fire And Rain (a song written and performed by James Taylor) This album was well written, performed, recorded and produced and was a start of many more hits to come. Peace Rocks by Steve Bonino
Peace Rocks is the December 21, 2012 debut album by Steve Bonino and the fourth review I have done for this artist. This album is an edgy progressive rock and psychedelic pop album, with Steve playing practically all the instruments on all the tracks. This twelve track album features such great tracks as Wake Up Call, GodSexMoney, Personal Revolution, Will The World Mourn?, Peace Love Truth and much more. I enjoyed this album from start to finish, which is something rare I find in an album, usually, there are a track or two that don’t move me. I also found that this album was well written, recorded, performed and produced as well being a great debut album where you can see where his further growth as an artist started. I highly recommend this album to your music library and you can find your copy of this release on CD and digital download from CD Baby, Amazon, FYE, Itunes and many other music outlets. You can also learn more about this amazing artist and his future releases by going to his website http://www.stevebonino.com
NWXSW by Rusty Reid
NWXSW is the debut album and my second review for Seattle, Washington singer/songwriter Rusty Reid on the Northern Latitudes Records. The title on this July 4, 2001 album is a play on SXSW (South by Southwest, the annual music conference in Austin), but his personal journey has been from Southwest to Northwest. On this album, he gathered a wide variety of musicians to help him on this project in addition to Rusty on guitars he is joined by fellow guitarists Steve Beasley, Pete Moceri, and Ray Hamilton. On bass, Rusty is joined by Kenny Kase, Steve Beasley, and Viren Lemmer, on keyboards Steve and Rusty is joined by Ric Plunk and Johnny Burgess and then finally on drums and percussion, Rusty and Steve are joined by Kenny Umbarger and Jad Simpson. This fourteen song album features such tracks as Earthquake City, Key to the City, Right Before Your Eyes, Where Do We Go From Now, Barbarians, Hot As A Pistol and so much more. I enjoyed the country/rock sound of this album and I was quite impressed with how well this album was written, recorded, performed and produced. This is an artist I hope to hear more from in the future. This album is available on CD and digital download from Amazon, CD Baby and his website https://rustyreid.com where you can learn more about this artist and his other music.
Versions by The Members
Version is the July 4, 2109 album by The Members, a British punk band that originated in Camberley, England released on the Cleopatra Records label. The lineup for this band consists of JC Carroll on guitar and vocals, Chris Payne on bass and vocals, Calle Engelmarc on lead guitar and vocals and Nick Cash on drums. This fourteen track album is covers of bands that had influenced them over the years but arranged and performed with an intense artistry of their own with such work as When You Were Mine (originally recorded by Prince), Boys Keep Swinging (originally by David Bowie), Sheena Is A Punk Rocker (originally by The Ramones), Soul Rebel (originally by The Wailers), Waiting For My Man (originally by Velvet Underground) and so much more. I was impressed with how well they made this album their own. Also, this album was well recorded, performed and produced. You can pick up your own copy of this album on Vinyl, CD and digital download from Cleopatra Records, Discogs, and many other outlets plus their website where you can learn more about this band, their tour schedule, and more http://www.themembers.co.uk
