Vincebus Eruptum is the debut album of the American rock band Blue Cheer, released January 16, 1968, on the Philips Records label. This album features a heavy-thunderous blues sound, which would later be known as heavy metal. It also contains elements of acid, experimental, blues, stoner and garage rock. The lineup on this album is Dickie Peterson on vocals and bass, Leigh Stephens on guitar, and Paul Whaley on drums. This six song album features such great tracks as Summertime Blues, Rock Me Baby, Parchment Farms and much more. This album was well written, recorded, performed and produced. I had this album while in high school and I was thrilled to find another copy in an old book store. You can still find this album on Vinyl, CD and digital download from Amazon, Discogs, and many other outlets.
