Takin’ It Too The Streets by The Doobie Brothers

After doing my last review of The Captain and Me by The Doobie Brothers that was in the Tom Johnston era, I felt I needed to do a review of an album of the Michael McDonald era.  Takin’ It to the Streets is the sixth studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers, released in March 1976 on Warner Brothers Records. It was the first to feature Michael McDonald on lead vocals after Tom Johnston started having serious medical problems.  This album produced such hits as Takin’ It To The Streets and It Keeps You Running.  This album also had great tracks as Wheels of Fortune and Turn it Loose which Tom Johnston still contributed. This album was very well written, performed and recorded.  I recommend adding this album to your Doobie Brothers record library.
