Thriller by Michael Jackson

Thriller is the sixth studio album by American singer Michael Jackson, released on November 30, 1982, by Epic Records. In just over a year, it became—and currently remains—the world’s best-selling album, with estimated sales surpassing 65 million copies. Seven out of the 9 tracks on this album hit Billboards Top 40.  I had the record vinyl LP of this album and now I have the picture disc version.  My favorite tracks off this album are the title track Thriller, Billy Jean, Beat It and the one track I love the best PYT (Pretty Young Thing).  This album was very well written, performed and recorded.  This is one album you don’t want to miss in your record library.

A good and revolutionary album for its time, but quite flawed in retrospect. The Girl Is Mine and The Lady in My Life are mediocre ballads, and the voice-over in Thriller has not aged well at all. Baby Be Mine is passable. Love the rest, as well as the smooth, shiny production.
